Every edition of TRAIN TRACK® can be customized, but if you would like to make your own changes to TRAIN TRACK®, we offer a customizable license. The customizable license includes an open source code version of the program.

  • You will have access to all of the database objects in design view, and all of the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) or VB Script program code.
  • You will be able to make design changes to meet your needs within your organization. Some restrictions apply; see the license agreement or contact us for details.

Permitted and Restricted Uses:

  • You may install an additional development copy of the software.
  • You are authorized to make functional modifications for use only within your company or organization and at only one location.
  • You may only use one copy of the modified program in a production environment.
  • You may NOT remove or modify the LIBERTY LABS, LLC logo, the TRAIN TRACK® trademark, or the Software's "About" screen.
  • You may NOT export or redistribute any portion of the program, code, or documentation.
  • You may NOT re-purpose the application, or modify the program to be used for tracking unrelated data.
  • Liberty Labs, LLC retains ownership of the software and copyrights of the software.

Specifications


The Client + Web Edition uses a Microsoft® SQL Server® Express database. You may edit the database through SQL Server® Management Studio (SSMS) which is free from Microsoft®. The Client Interface is powered by a Microsoft® Access® 2016 or better database (32-Bit or 64-Bit). You will need the full version of Access® to modify the desktop user interface.

The Web Interface uses active server pages (.asp) and can be installed on a standard web server or Windows® server with nothing to install on client workstations. You may edit it using your favorite web editing program, or Notepad.

System Requirements

Server

  • An instance of Microsoft® SQL Server® 2016 or better (you may use your existing version or SQL Server® Express which is free from Microsoft®). The database can be installed on the same server as other applications.
  • A web server configured to support .asp pages (for example, IIS which is included with most versions of Windows®).
  • At least 50 MB disk space. Extremely large databases may require up to 500 MB.

    • Client

  • A standard PC running Windows® 10 or better.
  • Microsoft® Access® 2016 or better. Workstations may use your existing version of Access® or the run-time version included with the installation files.

Web

  • A standard web browser.
  • Network access.

Capacity

  • There is no set limit to the amount of data or the number of users; these are limited only by your system configuration and disk space.
